About Feast With The Beasts
History of…
In 1988 the Zoological Society of Florida hatched a new and exciting event, Feast With The Beasts. This is one of South Florida’s pioneering “taste of” events and a marquee annual fundraiser for the Miami Metrozoo (Zoo Miami as of July 2010). Featuring 40 restaurants and hosting as many as 1,700 guests from as far away as London, Feast With The Beasts has become a favorite on South Florida's social calendar. Not a week goes by that someone from the Zoological Society or Metrozoo is asked, “When is Feast With The Beasts?”
About the Zoological Society of Florida
The Zoological Society of Florida is a non-profit 501(c)(3) that supports the work of Miami Metrozoo (Zoo Miami as of July 2010) through education, conservation and outreach programs; marketing and public relations; volunteer services; and financial support for the construction of new exhibits. Our mission is to encourage an appreciation for the world’s wildlife and to help conserve it for future generations.
About the Party
South Florida’s wildest charity event is going to be bigger, better, and wilder in 2010. The Zoological Society of Florida, the non-profit 501(c)(3) support for Miami Metrozoo (Zoo Miami as of July 2010), invites the community to join our Co-Chairs Norma Jean Abraham and Irene Korge in support of wildlife conservation and education and welcome you to Feast with the Beasts.
Last year, 1,200 guests walked the moonlit pathways of the zoo with food from 40 superb restaurants and caterers, 8 open bars, and entertainment unlike any other. We also had amazing wildlife encounters, fire breathing dancers, belly dancers with swords, and lots of other surprises. In addidtion, we had a tantalizing dessert and coffee buffet and the Ron Magill Spectacular Dance Party.
New in 2010
We are adding an exclusive Beastkeeper VIP Party to be held at the beautiful residence of Irene and Chris Korge featuring high end restaurants, entertainment and great music. Feast With The Beasts attracts the “Who’s Who of Miami” with political and community leaders, corporate executives, and our Board of Directors taking part in TWO amazing evenings.
