Samburu Giraffe Feeding Station

The Samburu Giraffe Feeding Station, open every day from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., gives visitors the opportunity to walk up a custom built ramp that leads to an elevated platform overlooking the African Plains exhibit.  For the first time at the zoo, visitors can view a giraffe's 14-inch long tongue as it extends out to gently take food out of their hands while getting a close look at what many consider the most beautiful eyelashes in nature.  For $2.00, guests can feed our giraffes delicious veggie treats like romaine or iceberg lettuce, kale or collard greens.
