2010 Bank of America Zoofari Spring Camp: March 29 - April 2

 Monday, March 29 through Friday, April 2
9:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
Ages 4 – 10

Morning and afternoon snacks provided.
Campers must bring their own lunches with drinks from home.
Non-members: $180;  Members: $160 for the week

 
  
 

Drop off and Extended Care:

  • Morning drop-off: 8:30- 8:50 A.M. Camp starts promptly @ 9:00 A.M.
  • Extended care: 4:30 P.M. – 5:30 P.M.  Cost: $35 for the week per child.

 Registration:

  • Pre-registration is required and space is limited.
  • Registration is processed on a first come, first served basis, and are due by Noon on Wednesday, March 24th.  A $10 late fee per child will be assessed after that.
  • Groups are arranged by age, at camp staff discretion.

Cancellations and Refunds

  • Refunds may be requested until March 23rd, 3:00 P.M. and are subject to a $20 cancellation fee per child.  After that, no credits or refunds will be issued.

Activities include:

Zoo Camp includes fun educational activities such as close encounters with animals from the Mercantil Commercebank Children’s Zoo collection, interactive presentations with animal skulls, and skins; visits to animal exhibits and meeting with zookeepers and animal enrichment activities.

Monday 

Animal Olympics! – Animals break records everyday. Their  purpose however, does not include winning gold medals. Their  goals are finding food, staying away from danger, and finding  a mate. You’ll have a blast at zoo camp exploring the  adventurous lives of animal champions.

Tuesday

Bugs and Bug-Eaters – Have fun at zoo camp finding out cool  facts about insects, spiders and their relatives. You will also be  surprised at how many animals find them an appetizing meal!

Wednesday

Cool Tropical Creatures – Life will never be the same after you join us for an excursion through the sounds and colors of tropical animals and their habitats. Join us for an amazingly fun experience!

Thursday 

Animals with Pockets – Spend the day discovering amazing    facts about kangaroos, koalas, and other marsupials. You’ll    love to find  out all about their curious life style.

Friday

Who’s Awake at Night? – Which animals wake up when   you and I go to bed? What do they do all night? Can they   see in the dark? At zoo camp you have a great time  answering these and other exciting questions. Don’t miss it!
